After acquiring The Fast And The Furious reviver, Justin Lin, to direct the third installment; Star Trek 3 now has a release date and it will be on 8 July 2016.
Paramount Pictures announced yesterday knowing full well of the 50th anniversary of the franchise.
Roberto Orci recently stepped down as the director for reasons that are still yet unknown, and I'm guessing we'll never know exactly what those reasons were. However, as one of the writers for the franchise, he has revealed that this next installment will bring the crew of the U. S. S. Enterprise away from Earth and into deep space where their next adventure awaits.
Of course, we can expect to see the original cast of Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, John Cho, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg and Anton Yelchin to reprise their roles; and perhaps we'll also see the newcomer of the previous movie, Alice Eve, in the fray as well.
