Alexander Payne's Casting Of His New Movie Downsizing

Alexander Payne, the director who churns out Oscar-winning movies, is back with a new movie that's along the lines of Honey, I Shrunk The Kids and Ant-Man.

Downsizing is the title, and attached early on is Matt Damon. Reese Witherspoon yesterday signed on as the female lead. And today, three more big names have been recruited: Alec Baldwin, Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Sudeikis.

Downsizing's satirical sci-fi plot, the sci-fi part sounds strange coming from a Payne movie, is about Damon and Witherspoon's husband and wife deciding that their lives have gotten out of hand and voluntarily opted to shrink themselves, only to see Witherspoon pulled out in the very last minute.

At the moment, this sounds like a bad version of Honey, I Shrunk The Kids; but since it's directed by Payne, I'll give it the full benefit of the doubt and patiently wait for the first trailer.
