How is it that I've missed a movie like Mortdecai until just before its release? I've never heard of this title nor have I come across its trailer or heard anything about it from anyone, until now.
Watching the trailer, you can see more than a few familiar faces. From unmistakable faces like Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, to blink-and-you'll-miss like Jeff Goldblum, or the not-so-easily recognisable ones like Paul Bettany and Olivia Munn.
Nevertheless, that's quite a cast for a comedy movie; and the trailer is cut so on the point in the first half that I now have high hopes for it. And that's not to say the second half of the trailer was any bad too, just different but still good.
Mortdecai opens in two days, in this country at least, according to the local cinema's website.
