Vice (3/10)
With Total Recall just received a remake recently, do we really need Vice?
Especially with such a weak script that went nowhere most of the time. The endless chase scenes took up almost half of the run-time, and every plot point was as generic as they come.
Thomas Jane hasn't had a decent movie in years and this wasn't it either. Bruce Willis continues to phone it in, taking on everything that pays him a good amount of money. Probably only Ambyr Childers was giving it her all.
I thought a lot of the bad performances had to do with director Brian A. Miller, who just gave us The Prince last year, which I kind of enjoyed. Sure, Willis was phoning it in as well but at least his character was more interesting. Actually, all the characters in The Prince were more interesting. And Jason Patric was great in it.
But here, Jane had a generic character, Bryan Greenberg should have been much better in his performance, and everything else was lame and a bore.
I almost walked out when they finally decided to take down the facility, I thought it was going to be another half hour long but luckily it wasn't.
