Although no details nor confirmation of plot has been given, Disney has just confirmed the casting of this year's Academy Awards nominee Felicity Jones as the female lead in next year's standalone Star Wars spin-off movie.
Directed by Gareth Edwards with heavy rumours stating that this will be a movie focused on a group of bounty hunters, possibly the Mandalorians and Bobba Fett, on a heist mission to steal the construction blue prints for the Death Star.
Jones has just been nominated for Actress In A Leading Role in the upcoming Academy Awards but stand in stiff competition from the likes of Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike and Reese Witherspoon.
But that could be a reason for Disney to cast her in their next big follow-up to this year's Episode VII, The Force Awakens.
So far, she has been impressive (though not to the point of winning this year's Best Actress) and will add more weight to the casting of the spin-off movie. Disney has not taken a wrong step yet with casting so far.
