Gina Carano, former American Gladiator and star of Steven Soderbergh's Haywire, is making some waves of late. After scoring a role in the Jean-Claude Van Damme remake of Kickboxer: Vengeance, she has confirmed to joining a Marvel franchise.
The X-Men spin-off, Deadpool, has recently been green lit with Ryan Reynolds starring. Now it is being reported that Carano will be added into the cast as one of the Morlocks, Angel Dust.
In the comic books, the "Morlocks" was a mini series about a band of mutants that live and hide underground.
Deadpool currently also stars T. J. Miller, but their female lead is yet to be confirmed.
Deadpool is slated to be released 12 February 2016, so filming must be about to start very soon and that female lead needs to be secured now.
