Disney is going all out too in this first Star Wars spin-off. Not only having secured a rising talent in Gareth Edwards to direct and freshly nominated for an Academy Award this year, Felicity Jones, to star; they have also secured this year's Academy Award winning composer, Alexandre Desplat.
Desplat has scored for many Academy Award winning movies like The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, The Tree Of Life, Syriana, The Ides Of March, Unbroken and Lust, Caution. He has also worked with Edwards on the recent Godzilla.
This year he was even nominated twice, once for The Grand Budapest Hotel (which he won) and also The Imitation Game.
It will be interesting to hear what he does with the classic Star Wars score of John Williams. To be inspired and then infuse his own style into such an iconic piece of music by such a talented musician, Rogue One is really shaping up to be something great even though it's a spin-off.
