Remember Spring Breakers? Well, I want to forget. I'll be the first to say that that movie was not for me. While I see the unique in style and direction, however, I did not like the pacing nor how the story was told.
That movie was directed by Harmony Korine, and that was my first exposure with the director.
For his next project, titled The Trap, Korine has manage to enlist some A-list stars. Initially it was Jamie Foxx, but he dropped out and is replaced by Idris Elba.
Elba now joins Benicio Del Toro and Robert Pattinson; and what's also interesting is that Al Pacino and James Franco are finalising a deal with Korine too.
The movie will be about a rapper at the height of his game while his best friend just got released from prison and wants to exact some kind of revenge on him.
No release date as of now but it should be some time in 2016.
