"Say hello to my lil' friend," is the most famous quote from the first remake of Scarface starring Al Pacino.
Now Universal Studios has greenlit another remake and they have pursued and acquired the writer of Straight Outta Compton, Jonathan Herman, to pen the script. As Straight Outta Compton is about gangsters and the thug life, it makes sense that Universal looks toward Herman to bring an updated version of a classical gangster movie back to life again.
No word yet on casting or release date but the story will centre around "a new and original take on the immigrant story".
