Tim Burton To Direct Disney's Dumbo
Disney continues to explore options of bringing its classical animated movies into live-action territory. And the latest one is Dumbo with Tim Burton attached to direct.
The last Disney movie that Burton did was Alice In Wonderland that only received lukewarm response from critics, but it did make enough money to get a sequel to be released next year and titled aptly Alice In Wonderland: Through The Looking Glass. But that will be directed by James Bobin instead.
I for one loved Burton's take on Alice In Wonderland and thought it was very well done. So if he brought the same sensibility and that dark and quirky theme to a live-action Dumbo, I'm in.
No release date yet for Dumbo but judging from his schedule, it could be 2017 and not so soon like 2016.
