When Joseph Kosinski announced that he will be doing TRON 3 with Garrett Hedlund, in the back of my mind I was thinking, there's no way they are not bringing back Olivia Wilde for this. And of course, speculations were that she will return together with Jeff Bridges.
Today, though no word yet on Bridges, it is however confirmed that Wilde will be returning. I believe both the actor and the movie need each other at this point. The biggest draw for TRON 3 now would be the return of Wilde. But also, Wilde's last movie - The Lazarus Effect - tanked horribly (I didn't even bother to watch it since the trailer gave everything away); and she hasn't had any big hit to her name yet.
With Kosinski back for another TRON movie, we're all expecting him to learn from past mistakes, from why TRON: Legacy didn't do well; and this time give the audience something to cheer for other than just another TRON movie.
