Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Gets New Shredder
Paramount Pictures has announced an actor-change for their upcoming sequel to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Originally, the character of Shredder was played by Masamune Tohoru; but now Brian Tee of The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift, The Wolverine and the upcoming Jurassic World is set to take over the ridiculously heavy-looking suit of armour and knives.
No reasons were specified as to the change in actors, but perhaps this is an entirely new Shredder?
To be honest, I don't even recall Masamune's face in the first movie. Did they show his face? Wasn't William Fichtner's character in that suit? See, Shredder was one of the worst things about that movie that I don't even remember what happened to his story...
And with so many new characters going to be introduced, and Bebop and Rocksteady being rumoured, I could have done without Shredder in this sequel.
David Green is set to direct and the movie is scheduled to be out 3 June 2016.
