Last year's John Wick starring Keanu Reeves was made with a smaller budget but was so surprisingly well received that Lionsgate today has officially confirmed a sequel.
And of course, Reeves will return as the titular character.
Also returning are both the directors, Chad Stahelski and David Leitch; as well as screenwriter Derek Kolstad.
The sequel will once again be produced through Thunder Road Pictures and distributed by Lionsgate's Summit Entertainment.
I wasn't the biggest fan of the original movie, it wasn't something as spectacular as The Matrix but the action sequences were commendable. Sure, I can see the appeal, and I would still be enthusiastic for its sequel.
No official release date as of now.
