What's with trailers these days that seem to be giving the whole movie plot away.
Latest culprit belongs to Sony Pictures Entertainment's Ricki And The Flash, a script written by Academy Award winner Diablo Cody that was inspired by her own rocker-mother-in-law.
The movie, starring Meryl Streep as the titular character, tells a story about a rocker mom who comes home to reconnect with her family who has moved on without her for many years.
But the trailer seems to be giving away all the plot points beat by beat. And you feel like you just watched a summary of the whole movie through a 2-minute trailer.
So what's left is to go to the cinema to watch Streep in action, which definitely is a strong pulling point on its own.
The movie also stars Kevin Kline, Sebastian Stan, Mamie Gummer and real-life rocker Rick Springfield.
Directed by Jonathan Demme, who also directed Philadelphia, The Manchurian Candidate and The Silence Of The Lambs; Ricki And The Flash will be released on 7 August 2015.
