Vacation First Red Band Trailer Very Funny

The first trailer for the new Vacation trailer is here in all its red band glory.

A remake of Chevy Chase's National Lampoon's Vacation, as addressed in the trailer, this new vacation can "stand on its own".

I think the best parts of the movie will be built around the family members' dynamic, much like one scene where Ed Helms' character is advising his son by the pool; and it's hilarious. I hope to see more of that, but of course the gags look fun as well.

At first when Chris Hemsworth's name was added to the cast, I thought he would have a more prominent role and I was excited to see him in a straight-up comedy movie. But judging from the trailer, his scenes will very likely be short.

Starring Helms, Christina Applegate, Chase, Hemsworth, Leslie Mann and Charlie Day; directed and written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein who are directing a full-length feature for the first time.

Vacation will be out on 29 July 2015.
