William H Macy Casts Alexandra Daddario In New Comedy
It's not everyday that you hear William H. Macy is directing but it seems he's branching out into that role now. He's directed Rudderless just last year to quite some success and this year he's attached to 2 movies.
And one of that being a new comedy titled The Layover, starring Alexandra Daddario (who will be in the upcoming San Andreas), Kate Upton, Rob Corddry, Kal Penn, Matt Barr, Matt Jones, as well as himself.
The movie centres around Daddario and Upton as best friends who got decided to go on a vacation but their plane got rerouted and hence the layover. But to make matters worse, they found themselves fighting for the same guy during the layover at St. Louis.
I would watch Daddario in anything. (Those eyes can pierce into my heart and yank out my soul.) She's not only beautiful but also very talented. Nobody lands a role lightly in "True Detective".
But the biggest problem here is Upton in such an extensive role. This model isn't a very competent actress. She was the biggest problem as well in The Other Woman. That movie wasn't half as bad until she turned up in the story.
So while I'm excited to see Daddario in a leading role in a comedy, directed by Macy; I just hope Macy knows how to bring the best out of Upton.
No release date for The Layover has been set yet.
