Stanley Kubrick's The Downslope Being Developed As Trilogy
A previously undeveloped screenplay written by one of Hollywood's greats, Stanley Kubrick, is currently being produced as a trilogy.
And the director set to helm this project is Monster's Ball, Finding Neverland and World War Z's Marc Forster.
However, I'm not sure how much of Kubrick's original material will be left after the first feature movie because Kubrick never intended The Downslope to become a trilogy. Forster and the producers of the project, with the support of Kubrick's family, have also said that the two following films will be an expansion from Kubrick's screenplay.
The Downslope is based on historical events, of the Civil War in the Shenandoah Valley and the strategies of war between the two leaders as they try to outsmart the other.
No word yet as to the release date of the first movie.
