Chris Pine has been heavily rumoured to be joining the DC cinematic world. First it was the love interest for Wonder Woman, then it was headlining Green Lantern.
Yesterday it was confirmed by The Wrap that Pine is in fact joining Wonder Woman's standalone movie, playing opposite Gal Gadot as Steve Trevor.
Personally I do not see Pine as a good fit just yet. Partly because I just can't imagine any romantic chemistry between the two as Gadot has not proven any acting ability yet.
Also because I see him more as Hal Jordan-Green Lantern. He should be headlining a movie, not play the "love interest" to the lead character.
I think Pine is good enough to play anything but at the moment it's just personal preference.
Wonder Woman is slated to release on 23 June 2017.
