After Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, the name Rebecca Ferguson is on everyone's lips. And I even lauded her as the next Emily Blunt in terms of a female action star.
Today Deadline brings word that Ferguson is set to play opposite Emily Blunt in The Girl On The Train, originally a novel written by Paula Hawkins, which is now a bestseller. DreamWorks has purchased the rights and began adapting the novel even before its release.
The story is about a woman who takes a daily train and always sees a couple outside her window in one of the stops. And one day she witness something happening to the couple and become a witness. The story is said to be a thriller in the same vein as Gone Girl.
The movie will be directed by Tate Taylor should be aiming for a 2016 release.
