I haven't heard anything about this movie but now having seen the first trailer, I really want to see it. It looks like a campy, B-grade horror-slasher, but it's not. And I think it could be brilliant. But it could also very easily be really stupid.
This first trailer of The Final Girls is also one of those that just gave the plot away too much. I liked seeing how the group of kids get sucked into the movie world but I didn't need to see too much of what happens there.
The Final Girls stars Malin Akerman, Taissa Farmiga, Adam DeVine, Nina Dobrev, Thomas Middleditch, Alexander Ludwig and Alia Shawkat.
I'm also quite excited to see more of Middleditch, who can be hilarious; DeVine who is already a scene stealer whenever he's onscreen; and to see what Dobrev can do outside of the TV series "The Vampire Diaries".
The movie will be out on 9 October 2015. And towards the end of the trailer, huge bold-lettered words come out, "The Feel Good Horror Movie Of The Year" - brilliant tagline!
