Zach Braff Directs 3 Oscar Winners In Going In Style
Originally released in 1979, the movie Going In Style is being remade through New Line Cinema and directed by the star of the TV series "Scrubs", Zach Braff, who first debuted as a director in the indie vehicle Garden State.
Going In Style will mark Braff's third full-length feature and the first that he won't be starring in. Instead, it will have three Academy Award winners headlining, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin.
This will also be his first movie in which he has no writing credits. The screenplay is provided by Theodore Melfi, who was the scribe for one of last year's greats, St. Vincent. I was such a fan of that movie that Melfi is the one that attracts me the most in this movie.
Production is currently underway with some pictures now available at ComingSoon, including the one above giving a first look at the three actors doing a scene together.
The movie tells a tale of three senior citizens who decided to rob a bank and take their winnings to Las Vegas (again for Freeman).
Going In Style will be released on 6 May 2016.
