Sony Pictures and Rovio are calling this a teaser, even though the length of it is a full-on trailer. Sometimes I don't know what Hollywood is doing.
The first half of this "teaser" I like. Introducing a few of the different birds and the actors voicing them. I thought Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad really nailed their characters. I'm still unsure about Danny McBride and Bill Hader. The second half, however, I was quite bored.
And I am guessing maybe this is why they called it a teaser instead of a trailer, whereby we don't get much out of it except a few drawn out scenes just to whet our appetite. Nothing on the story or plot points even though it's about two and a half minute long. And to be fair, the movie is still more than six months away so understandably it's not ready right now.
So far, I'm not that interested yet for the movie; but I still have to say, the world they created in this trailer looks vibrant and beautiful.
Written by Jon Vitti, who also wrote for the first two installments of Alvin And The Chipmunks, and directed by two animators in their first full-length feature; the movie will be out on 20 May 2016.
