Not much can be found for FUNimation Entertainment's highly anticipated two-parter movies that's supposed to be released in the US this coming October, where Part 1 will be released on 30 September and Part 2 will be two weeks later in middle of October.
I have a feeling this movie has already been released in Japan and we're just waiting for it to reach us and the rest of the world. I doubt Brunei and the rest of Southeast Asia will get it in the same time as the US but I hope it will be soon too.
If you're a manga fan, you would have known about this series long ago which also has a run as an animated series. It is one of the biggest series of late and I have friends telling me about it. I'm thinking to catch the animated series first before the movie, but then again, why spoil the movie like that.
Both films are directed by Higuchi Shinji, with very heavy use of green screen. I'm not sure about the setup for Part 1. The trailer feels kind of trite to have someone explain the wall in one scene and the next scene the Titans appear immediately. And the wall reminds me a lot of The Maze Runner too.
Here's a look at the trailers for the two movies.
