Ewan McGregor's Directorial Debut Titled American Pastoral

Another accomplished actor jumping to directing duties, this time by the name of Ewan McGregor.

The film is based off of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Phillip Roth, and is adapted by John Romano who also wrote Lincoln Lawyer.

The story centres around Seymour "Swede" Levov who is a legendary high school athlete. He later marries a former beauty queen and also inherits his father's business. But his daughter rebels by becoming a revolutionary by committing a political act of terrorism during the Vietnam War, Swede's perfect life shatters around him.

The movie stars McGregor, Jennifer Connelly, Dakota Fanning and recently has just added David Strathairn.

ComingSoon reported that Filming is set to begin later this month for a 2016 release.
