It's never straight forward when a cinematographer jumps into the director's chair. Reed Morano, cinematographer for films like The Skeleton Twins and Kill Your Darlings, is delivery his first feature film with Meadowland.
Starring Olivia Wilde, Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi, Elisabeth Moss, John Leguizamo, Juno Temple and Ty Simpkins. This first trailer shows the artistic side of the movie mixed with a documentary feel. The plot remains unclear and it looks like the scenes are filled with tension and mystery.
But the performers all look really good in their roles. I'm a little intrigued at this point, until I know more about it there's not much to get excited about, other than all those praises popping up way too many times and made it look like the movie is trying too hard to blow its own horn.
The poster doesn't really do anything for me. The only thing I really like here is the soundtrack playing in the background which really suited the trailer very nicely.
Meadowland opens on 16 October 2015.
