Back in May 2014, Lionsgate has announced a remake of a live-action Power Rangers movie.
Today, according to ComingSoon, Naomi Scott is confirmed by Lionsgate and Saban Entertainment to play the character Kimberly, also known as the Pink Ranger.
Scott was just previously in Ridley Scott's The Martian, although I can't seem to recall which character she played.
This new incarnation of Power Rangers will be directed by Dean Israelite who just did Project Almanac; and will be released on 13 January 2017.
