Star Wars: The Force Awakens First Official Movie Poster

Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm have released the first official movie poster for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

This poster is inline with every poster that has come before it in the franchise. Other than the middle part, which looks a little too busy for my liking, I think this poster is gorgeous.

Take a closer look and you'll see Han Solo and Leia Organa, there are also the X-Wings, Star Destroyers and the beloved Millenium Falcon.

The only character that we do not really know yet is the alien that's beside R2-D2, above BB-8. If it's being placed in this poster that's filled with familiar characters even if they are new in this installment, it must be an important character!

But I believe everyone is asking the same question. Where is Luke Skywalker? Some rumours are going around saying Luke will only have a tiny part in this movie, but to become more prominent as the trilogy progresses. So that's why he's not in this poster?

Also announced, the new trailer will be out tomorrow (or later today in the US) during the halftime show of the NFL game between New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.

Ticket for the movie will also start selling later for 17 December, where the Americans will be treated to the previous two trilogies first before The Force Awakens officially opens on 18 December 2015.
