The sequel / spin-off to 2012's Snow White And The Huntsman, simply The Huntsman, has just got a new title.
It is now called The Huntsman Winter's War, and Universal Pictures has just released four character posters.
Featuring the main cast of Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron; this will also be the first time that we get a good look at Chastain and Blunt's characters. Chastain plays the warrior Sara while Blunt plays the Ice Queen, Freya.
Hemsworth and Theron reprises their roles as Eric and Queen Ravenna respectively.
The movie is directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, who is upgraded from second unit director from the first movie. His other movie on his resume is also the second unit director for Maleficent. So this will be his first directorial debut.
Considering the first movie was lukewarm at best, I'm very surprised to see what a cast this sequel / spin-off boasts. But hopefully the script this time is a much better one with new writers onboard, and the actors are not just in it for a paycheck.
The movie comes out on 22 April 2016.
