Death Note US Remake To Add Margaret Qualley

The Japanese original Death Note was a 13-volume series that spawned both an anime and a live-action movie some years ago, and now Hollywood is taking a crack at it.

The supernatural thriller has recently announced that Nat Wolff, star of Paper Towns, will play the male lead role, and now according to The Hollywood Reporter, TV series "The Leftover" star Margaret Qualley is in final negotiations to play the female lead.

Adam Wingard, director of The Guest and You're Next, will helm the project.

As I've never seen the manga or anime, I did not care about the live-action movie then. I did not get that movie and did not understand the horrible take on Death as a live-action character. So let's see if Wingard can change my mind about it.
