Luke Evans Boards The Girl On The Train

The Girl On The Train started off with such high expectations because it first signed on Emily Blunt and quickly followed by Rebecca Ferguson - two of the hottest British action stars today (even though Ferguson has only done one but that was a Mission: Impossible movie!)

DreamWorks quickly followed with two A-listed male leads to join, Chris Evans and Jared Leto. But then, Evans was replaced just last week by Justin Theroux.

And today, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Leto had to drop out but is quickly replaced by Luke Evans.

No specific reasons were given for both male leads to leave the project but, not that I'm saying the two new male leads are not worthy, just that their names don't come with the same kind of buzz. Still, no reason why Theroux and Evans cannot make the movie good with equally strong performances.

The movie also stars Haley Bennett and Edgar Ramirez, and is directed by Tate Taylor. No confirmed release date yet as of now.
