Woohoo! I did not expect to see this. With all the secrecy surrounding the movie and how J.J. Abrams is keeping mum about a lot of things, I didn't think we would be seeing anymore new stuff! But I am in so much glee right now.
Character posters for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has hit the web, the one day when I didn't have Internet access until 15 hours later.
I love, love, love these posters and I think these are better than the one we just gotten a few weeks back. I talked about my reservation for that one even though I still like it; but these, no complaints from me.
My favourite is definitely the one of "the scoundrel". You look at Harrison Ford and you don't see Ford. You only see Han Solo.
I love how when I stacked these posters in one line, the item they are holding are also in one straight line from one poster to the next.
I love how we have the blue and red lightsabers being featured very prominently by a hero and a villain respectively. And this poster is making me think John Boyega's Finn is going to be a Jedi in training by the end of this first movie.
I love Daisy Ridley's poster and how we are getting a closeup of her staff. Whether or not that will open up to be a lightsaber, everyone is still speculating. But imagine if that staff is actually a sheath to a lightsaber, and she will pull it out like a knight would his sword in Roman times? Makes no sense but I'll be the first one cheering for it.
And finally, a closeup of Carrie Fisher's Leia Organa for the first time and she's standing behind some kind of a screen. Brilliant composition!
Man, I love these posters! Check them out below.
