Travis Knight, the lead animator for ParaNorman and last year's runaway hit Boxtrolls, has released his own directorial debut with Kubo And The Two Strings.
Produced by Laika Entertainment, which Knight is in charge of, and distributed by Focus Features, this first teaser trailer looks beautiful and intriguing already. The beginning sequence reminded me of Final Fantasy VIII's opening too, so that has already bode well with me.
I loved what Knight has done with his stop-motion work so far so I'm expecting even better quality from him this time around.
The voice actors are of a stellar cast, with Charlize Theron, Rooney Mara, Ralph Fiennes, George Takei and Matthew McConaughey. The movie will be out on 19 August 2016.
