A new comedy from New Line Cinema and MGM need all the buzz it can get because it is opening up on the same weekend as Deadpool and Zoolander.
It's going to be a weekend of comedies. Deadpool could be the big win for that weekend as it brings all comic book fans together. But Zoolander could give Deadpool a run for its money because the fans for the first movie are quite a significant number and may come out in droves. It will be interesting to see who takes the first spot.
How To Be Single maybe shouldn't open on this weekend because it's not really any counter-programming to the first two, but then again it could capture the female market with its own brand of romantic-comedy.
Starring Dakota Johnson, Rebel Wilson, Alison Brie and Leslie Mann. I'm not a fan of Johnson's work just yet because I haven't seen her in anything significant, other than her hosting SNL which was horrible. But I am a fan of Brie and warming up to Mann after all these years. Wilson is the wildcard because I'm still waiting for her to get out of her normal shtick but doubt it'll be this one.
Their character posters have just been released, which doesn't really do much for me. Also check out the first trailer and poster released a few weeks ago.
