That speech given by then President of the United States, played by Bill Pullman, plays in the background of this trailer. How you know something was well written is when after 20 years it still gives you the same goose bumps effect.
"We will not go quietly into the night. We will not banish without a fight." Still hits me right there.
I really enjoyed this first trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence, just released by 20th Century Fox. I even watched it twice in a row. It's a very well put together trailer that showed just enough to whet our appetites for it. It also appears to have the same tone as the first movie, which it should.
Directed once again by Roland Emmerich, led by Pullman and Jeff Goldblum from the old cast, with a new cast made up of Liam Hemsworth, Maika Monroe and Jessie Usher; the movie will be out on 24 June 2016.
