James Cameron has been hard at work, creating the next three Avatar movies all at the same time.
Today Cameron has announced that the first sequel will drop on Christmas of 2017. Check out his excerpt below:
"Christmas of '17 is the target, at least that's what we've announced. But I don't consider that as important as the fact that when we get all three films done, we drop them a year apart. I call it a meta-narrative that runs across the three movies. Each film stands alone, but it also tells one much larger story."
It's taken a long time to develop this sequel and it's still not even close to getting released yet. But I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
