JJ Abrams Surprises With 10 Cloverfield Lane First Trailer

Wow. This came right out of left field. No one, and I mean no one, saw this coming.

It came as a huge surprise as Collider revealed that one of their east coast readers caught a screening of Michael Bay's 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers Of Benghazi and informed the site that J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot's had a new trailer attached to 13 Hours.

Collider later than reached out to Abrams who confirmed that The Cellar's actual title is 10 Cloverfield Lane, a "blood relative of Cloverfield".

Cloverfield was one of the sleeper hits of 2008 and one of my all-time handheld-camera movies. The execution of it was excellent. There has been a lot of fans requesting for a sequel but Abrams never promised one.

And the first time we heard of The Cellar was August of 2014 when the casting of Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Goodman was announced. Nobody expected it to be a Cloverfield-related movie!

The movie also stars John Gallagher Jr., and is directed by Dan Trachtenberg as his first full length feature debut. The movie is scheduled to be released on 11 March 2016, and I can't wait. The trailer already looks fantastic.
