Keegan Michael Key and Jordan Peele has said goodbye to their very successful TV series "Key and Peele" and have transitioned into movies.
The comedic duo has brought on their long-time director from their series, Peter Atencio; while the script is written by Peele and Alex Rubens, another long-time collaborator.
The challenge now for the people behind the movie is to not make it feel like television, as in not episodic but more cinematic - although one would argue all the "Key and Peele" sketches already feels very cinematic to begin with.
This first red band trailer, from Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema, is like watching one of their short sketches, and it is hilarious. Kind of using Keanu Reeves' movies like John Wick and The Matrix, a little parody and a little paying homage. I couldn't stop laughing, as you will be able to see in my trailer reaction video for the trailer next.
Keanu will open on 29 April 2016. Again like 10 Cloverfield Lane, it's such a treat to get a trailer, get excited for the movie, and not having to wait six months for the movie to arrive.
