Stephen King's next big screen adaptation will be The Dark Tower and it has already found its two leads in Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey.
Today Deadline has confirmed that Mad Max: Fury Road star Abbey Lee will play Tirana. And even though her character only has a small role at the end of the series by King, but Sony Pictures has made her the female lead for the movie version.
One can only wonder what else has been drastically changed in terms of plot points for the adaptation and what Mr. King thinks of all these.
As for Lee, her work in the previous Mad Max has garnered a lot of attention and she's getting more and more work. She can next be seen in the upcoming Gods Of Egypt later this month, and then in Nicolas Winding Refn's The Neon Demon later this year.
