Cameron Monaghan should get more horror roles, this guy can be seriously creepy when he wants to. I loved his work on TV's "Gotham" where he played a version of The Joker and he was brilliant.
But the only good thing that I can see from this first trailer of Amityville: The Awakening is the cast. And it's also a little disappointing to see a talent and Academy Award nominee like Jennifer Jason Leigh going from The Hateful Eight straight to this.
The rest of the cast include Bella Thorne and Kurtwood Smith. This looks like a generic play-by-play horror movie with nothing new to offer, except for Monaghan's freaky presence.
The movie, from Dimension Films and Blumhouse Productions, will be out on 1 April 2016.
