After a slew of casting announcements, last weekend saw a surprise change-up to Vin Diesel's upcoming sequel, and the third installment to, xXx.
xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage previously announced the addition of action star Jet Li back in January. But according to Twitch, Donnie Yen has stepped in as a last minute replacement to Jet Li who has exited the project with unknown reasons.
Grabbing Yen is a win-win because, 1) more exposure for Yen in the Hollywood market, and 2) Yen will help give the xXx franchise more hype since Yen's name will become much bigger once marketing for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story begins.
Twitch also reported that Ice Cube may have a small role in the upcoming movie as well. He was actually the star of xXx: State Of The Union, the very unsuccessful direct sequel.
