This is definitely the results of last year's formation of the "writers' room" and hopefully we will be getting a vast improvements in the screenplay and dialogues.
However, Michael Bay is confirmed to direct Mark Wahlberg in Transformers 5; so not sure if Bay will follow the writers' work or dance to his own beats again.
Transformers 5 will be released on 23 June 2017, clashing with DC and Warner Bros. Pictures' Wonder Woman (crazy, I know).
After that, the next Transformers movie, with an updated report saying it will be a Bumblebee spin-off, will arrive on 8 June 2018; going up against the sequel to Godzilla (again, what is Paramount thinking?).
Transformers 6 will return with the main storyline and will debut on 28 June 2019.
Even though true fans and critics despised all the sequels so far, but the franchise isn't going anywhere because it is making a huge amount of money globally. I believe Paramount will be able to stick to these dates and we won't see any postponements.
The one bright spark in this news is that, Bay won't be able to direct Bumblebee and still helm 5 and 6. And 5 is already underway. So that means Bumblebee will need a new director. Maybe, just maybe, we may get an actual Transformers movie that we can like.
