Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones 5 Gets Release Date

It's official, Indiana Jones is whipping back to the silver screen with a fifth installment.

According to ComingSoon, Indiana Jones 5 will be released by Walt Disney Pictures on 19 July 2019; with Steven Spielberg back in the director's chair.

Spielberg directed the previous four films with Harrison Ford. And as per his remarks from a few months back while promoting Bridge Of Spies with Tom Hanks, he joked about how he has done four movies with both Tom Hanks and Ford, so he teased Hanks that with Indiana 5 it would put Ford above Hanks. So that was not a frivolous joke at all.

Pushing 80 years old, this could very well be the last Indy movie with Ford as the titular character. Like Han Solo, the studio must be searching for the younger version of Indy right now for Ford to pass the torch to in the new movie. And definitely won't be in the same style as Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull.

Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will also once again produce.
