JK Simmons Joins DC's Justice League As Commissioner Gordon

You can hear all the Marvel fanboys crying in disbelief. There goes any hope left of getting J.K. Simmons back to portray J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider-Man universe.

We can talk about how it is impossible to separate Hugh Jackman from Wolverine or Robert Downey Jr. from Iron Man; but when it comes to the best portrayal of a supporting character, there's none than comes as close to what Simmons has given us.

Even though the new Spider-Man is being rebooted, hardcore fans will make an exception to recasting as we still want to see Simmons as Jameson.

But according to The Hollywood Reporter, Simmons has signed on with DC and Warner Bros. Pictures to play Commissioner Gordon of Gotham City Police Department; and will make his first appearance in Justice League: Part 1.

This news is likely to be the final nail into the Marvel coffin as no actor has existing contracts with the two giant comic book brands at the same time.

The movie is being directed by Zack Snyder (as far as we know) and will be out on 10 November 2017.
