A teaser trailer for Deepwater Horizon? Teasers are usually for big blockbuster franchises, not typically for something that's based on real events. Not to mention this teaser's length is as long as a full trailer!
Nevertheless, Lionsgate has released its first trailer and calling it a teaser. Watching it, I realised why. The content is very limited. It's just one long scene showing Mark Wahlberg with his family, to set up what is to come.
That's also why the trailer itself is kind of boring and uneventful. But I trust Peter Berg's vision and direction. Plus it's got a really good reference point to begin with.
Also starring Kate Hudson, Dylan O'Brien and Kurt Russell, the movie will open on 30 September 2016.
