The first trailer finally dropped for Sony Pictures' upcoming reboot of Ghostbusters, directed by Paul Feig.
I loved the main theme playing in a slower beat during the beginning but what's with the "30 years ago" tag? Isn't this supposed to be unrelated to the movies that came before?
What followed were some funny moments from scene to scene featuring the four comedians, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
But also, therein lies the problem with this trailer. Don't get me wrong, I laughed a lot. However, it felt more like the movie is about the four actors, not Ghostbusters. There just aren't enough of the Ghostbusters element in here to get me really excited for it.
Seeing Ecto-1 was a nice touch though.
Also, it would have been nice to see Chris Hemsworth's character saying a line or two, not the possessed version.
Hopefully, the next trailer will see more of what Feig is going to do with this reboot, and not just what he usually does in a movie starring McCarthy.
