A re-teaming of an actor and a director is always a good sign, because this would mean their previous collaboration spawned great results. And in this case, Suicide Squad must be fantastic for Ayer and Smith to want to work together again so soon.
According to The Wrap, Joel Edgerton has also attached to play opposite Smith. The movie, simply titled Bright, is described as a fantasy flick in the vein of Ayer's previous work, End Of Watch; and will have an Orc as a main character.
Bright is expected to start production soon, immediately after Suicide Squad opens and before its sequel begins; which should bring Smith and Ayer together again for the third time in a row.
