Shane Black's The Predator Gets Release Date, But Where's Gambit?
In a shuffle by 20th Century Fox for their upcoming blockbuster slate, the biggest news that came out was probably The Predator.
Shane Black's revival of the jungle menace has gotten its release date, set for 2 March 2018.
The studio has also set a couple of placeholders for their Marvel films, dated 6 October 2017 and 12 January 2018 - the latter being the brow-raiser as no Marvel movies have ever opened in the dead zone of January before.
Gambit was scheduled to open 7 October this year but now no longer has a date attached to it, though I'm sure the project hasn't been shelved and may even be one of the above mentioned dates.
One would have to wonder also if the sequel to Deadpool would take the 2018 date, seeing the first movie opened in February.
Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant has moved up by two months to 4 August 2017.
