How is a Tom Hanks movie that's coming out in a month's time not under any radar until this first trailer dropped?
Are Lionsgate and Saban Films trying to pull a 10 Cloverfield Lane? Of course not, because that takes months of planning.
This first trailer feels like Eat Pray Love meets The Exotic Marigold Hotel. Hanks can do comedy with the best of them and it will be interesting to see what he does with this movie, though I'm not sure what to think of this movie just yet because it looks like it can go either way at this point.
Directed by Run Lola Run and Cloud Atlas helmer, Tom Tykwer, so at least we know the movie will look beautiful (as can be seen so far). A Hologram For The King will open on 22 April 2016.
