Jason Statham To Fight Prehistoric Shark In Meg
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jason Statham has signed on to a new movie, Meg; which is based off of a bestseller novel by Steve Alten.
The report doesn't confirm if Statham will play the hero of the story, Jonas Taylor, but that should be a given. The antagonist is a prehistoric Great White - so big that even a Tyrannosaurus Rex would not last seconds against it.
The movie has also secured a director in Jon Turteltaub, who directed National Treasure, with a script adapted by James Vanderbilt, who wrote The Amazing Spider-Man and the upcoming Independence Day: Resurgence.
No word yet on a release date.
