Back in January, we just found out that Tessa Thompson has joined Natalie Portman's Annihilation. And I've been saying this girl is the next big thing.
Yesterday Deadline announced that Marvel Studios has enlisted her to be in their upcoming third installment of Thor, Ragnarok; opposite Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddelston, Mark Ruffalo and her co-star on HBO's "Westworld", Anthony Hopkins.
The report claims that Thompson will be playing a superhero of sorts, and will also appear in other Marvel movies. The logical guess would be Avengers: Infinity War.
The irony here is also that Thompson will first shoot Annihilation with Portman; and then embark on Ragnarok, which Portman will not appear in, after her heavy involvements in the first two movies.
Thor: Ragnarok will be released on 3 November 2017.
